Why you will need to add a few more to your boycotting list



I have not said a lot about this because I try to not engage in this on Facebook. However I do want to share this interesting article. It might surprise you that I am actually a very conservative person but yes this is my view on this subject... but for all of you boycotting Target you might need to add a few to the list...

I do not agree fully with the way that Target handled this issue but I also don't agree with the way a majority of the people are handling it. I believe we are supposed to stand up for what we believe in. We know that we live in a sin filled world and people are not perfect, I am not perfect. Aaron Wilson wrote, "Boycotting as it turns out, is just too easy. Christians are not called to avoid the culture out of disgust, but rather to engage it in wisdom, love, and truth." His article talks about why boycotting is not the best answer for this situation. Other companies will likely follow Target with policies similar, are we going to boycott all of them too? I don't know the answers I am simply asking a question....

I don't like people using the safety argument though and I read a great post on that this morning too "If there are people out there wanting to harm others in a bathroom, they’d do it anyway even if this new “law” didn’t exist. Just like taking the guns away from everyone, doesn’t stop the bad guy from having a gun… bad guys and gals don’t abide by the laws, they never have." Todd and I have always been very concerned about this and therefore we do not let Wyatt or McKinley go alone to the bathroom. I don't know what the answer is, for now I will keep shopping at target.

Another bad day at school

I pull up and see Wyatt's class waiting patiently to go onto the playground. I decided to wait and watch Wyatt for a minute to see what he does. Well when they opened the gate, he slowly walks to the picnic table and climbs up to sit down. He keeps his head low and looks very sad. I knew he was in timeout! So I sat in the car for a minute until he looked over and noticed me. I walked up and his teacher started coming toward me with a white sheet of paper! CRAP! Honestly, riding down the road today I just had this feeling that Wyatt was going to be in trouble today. He woke up at 6, an hour earlier than he normally does and whenever he wakes up early, he gets into trouble! Turns out he hit Sarah Beth near the eye with a toy. I honestly wanted to cry and had he started crying I probably would have burst into tears. L. Morgan Hall

Oh what a week! What a week and two days actually! Its amazing to me how one minute life can be going just perfect. Wyatt sound asleep for afternoon nap, Todd loading the dishwasher, me walking out the door to run a couple of errands alone and in a flash, with just one phone call your whole world can miraculously be turned upside down. My father-in-law passed away very unexpected on January, 23.2010. Within an hour we had a family friend with watching Wyatt, our bags packed and we were in the car on the way to Kiawah Island. Its amazing how life just changes. I am not going to go into details, because I don't wan to relive that time. The past week was really just a whirl wind of emotions and reliving them right now is not in the cards. What I will say is that Morgan Hall was a wonderful man. We will miss him.
