Shopping and Painting for Wyatt

This past weekend Todd and I made a trip to Charleston to go shopping with Nancy for Wyatt. Before we left we picked out paint colors and had a painter get started on Wyatt's room and his future bathroom. We were lucky enough to see his room finished before we left and it looks wonderful! It's a light blue color with white trim and even a new brown fan and door fixtures. His bathroom wasn't finished when we left but when we returned it looked great! It's called stop light red and is very bright. I'll be sure to take some pictures soon.  In Charleston we found a crib that goes perfectly with the changing table we had already picked out. We were also able to find the nursery bedding!! So excited to find it because online it was out of stock. Todd also had fun picking out a couple of smocked outfits for Wyatt when he is older and the cutest little gown for him to wear as a newborn. I think Todd enjoyed most of the day except for my shopping. He was the best husband tho

It's a Boy!

It's a Boy!! I don't really see what she is looking at but as soon as the screen came on she said "It's a Boy!" I'll admit I already knew but that was the final confirmation for us. I'll admit I was a little shocked the first time an ultrasound tech said,"It looks like it might be a boy." I have always been around little girls. I'm a nanny for two little girls, I've always looked after little girls and well I know all about Disney Princesses and Dora and Barbie so I was nervous about a boy. Now I can't imagine it any other way. I am so excited about this new adventure. I have to say it became real when they said, "It's a boy!" and when I saw his little face. This next picture is of Wyatt's little arm.  Another exciting thing that happened at 18 weeks was feeling his movement. I was in class and all of a sudden it felt like a fish was swimming. I heard it would feel like butterflies but this was more like a fish. Now

3D of Wyatt

Image
At 18 weeks we went to see Dr. Williams and they did an ultrasound to tell us what the sex of the baby was and to check the growth. Todd being the talker that he is asked the lady about the 3D technology that they offer and she decided to give us a little preview of what we can pay for down the road. Wyatt did not want us to see him that day so he is a little tucked up but you can see his head, one eye, little nose, an arm curled up and an ear and a leg. Isn't he a cute!

Baby's first pictures

On January 27 th we saw our baby for the first time. It was the most amazing feeling seeing that little baby and hearing that heartbeat. Everyone said that we wouldn't be able to really see much but we saw a head, body, arm and leg buds, and even the divisions of the brain on the screen. It's amazing how far technology has come. This picture is Wyatt at 9 weeks!

New to blogging!

Never before have I thought about sharing information this way until a friend of mine started hers and then another friend and well it now seems like a good idea! Now that more of our family members have found the Internet they can check in from time to time and see whats going on with our growing family.  On December 17 th Todd and I found out that we were pregnant! Yep, it finally gave us two pink lines and about four home tests later and then some blood work confirmed that we were going to be adding a new member to our family. I am now 20 weeks and 4 days and feeling great! 20 more weeks to go and then we will get to meet Wyatt!  I guess since I'm starting this half way through I will have to go back to share a little of our experience . Family and Friends I hope you enjoy!
