Shout out to all the single mommas!

For those of you who know and those of you who don't, my husband has spent the last month taking care of business in Atlanta. Living in Atlanta! He will be there until late April, early May and so I have become a SINGLE mom. Ok so technically I am not one but I have to say... that is what I feel like. So to all you single moms.... HATS off to YOU, don't know how you do it but you do! I love being a stay at home mom (with a job I can do from my house) but even us stay at home moms look forward to 6 (when daddy gets home)! We look forward to a couple of minutes when we can just "check out", sit down and read, write, blog, watch some mindless television, finishing folding the clothes, or actually take a shower without worrying about a baby waking up or getting restless! Time other than nap time (cause we all know that nap time is also known as clean up time). My days lately have consisted of... early wake up diape

What's cookin in the kitchen???

With all the crazy that is going on in our life, I do still have a five month old little boy who needs to eat... who likes to eat! At about 4 1/2 months we did the rice cereal. Then two weeks later tried some apples, then some other vegetables and fruits. He was never really a fan of anything other than rice cereal with apple juice! I know that many doctors and books say that adding the apple juice is not good but you know what Wyatt loves it and eats great! That's enough for me! So one day I threw a banana in a blender and served it up and he LOVED it! He ate it much better than he did the jarred baby food. The next day I bought a little book about baby food, storage containers, fruit and vegetables and got to work! So far he loves it! Pumpkin, Sweet potato's, banana and blueberry cereal, pears and apples. I love it that someone loves my cooking. I recommend make baby food to everyone! Not only does it save money, but they will love it and you know what is in your baby food! W

Thoughts and prayers needed

Life as I once knew it has been turned upside down. For those of you who don't know whats going on, lets just say my family is going through alot right now. I am turning to God to get us through this and leaning on him through this hard time. I know that we will end up stronger in the end! That being said please just keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh what a week! What a week and two days actually! Its amazing to me how one minute life can be going just perfect. Wyatt sound asleep for afternoon nap, Todd loading the dishwasher, me walking out the door to run a couple of errands alone and in a flash, with just one phone call your whole world can miraculously be turned upside down. My father-in-law passed away very unexpected on January, 23.2010. Within an hour we had a family friend with watching Wyatt, our bags packed and we were in the car on the way to Kiawah Island. Its amazing how life just changes. I am not going to go into details, because I don't wan to relive that time. The past week was really just a whirl wind of emotions and reliving them right now is not in the cards. What I will say is that Morgan Hall was a wonderful man. We will miss him. KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of January 23, 2010, L. Morgan Hall, III, husband of Nancy Chalker Hall, who resides on Kiawah Island, SC. The
