My little Four/ Five month old (I was a slacker and never updated about his four month so its now just combined!)

Only sometimes do I catch a glimpse of the 8 pound little boy I took home about 5 months ago. It is amazing to me; utterly astounding at the changes a baby goes through in a mere 5 months. Here are some things my little man is now doing…. Sleeping through the night ( I just have to say- this has been going on for about two months now) Rolling over from belly to back Lifting head up Trying really hard and very interested in rolling over from back to belly Eating rice cereal (It was a struggle at first but add a little apple juice and guess what he loves it!!!) I know all the books say not to do this but you know making it a little sweeter makes feeding time easier and I like it! We are also trying peas; I have heard try vegetables first, green, yellow then orange but we shall see. He is not diggin the peas.) Trying to hold a bottle Cooing, screaming (happy), laugh on occasion, smiling all the time Showing great interest and more alter to what is going on; the dogs, the tv, the l

How many bags does it take!

On the way to Hawaii we had a lot of bags to carry through the airport… a large black roll bag, a backpack, a camera bag, a bassinet (the one that connects to our stroller) and of course the Ergo baby to put Wyatt in. It was a lot! On the way home we added his car seat to the mix and it was just to much to handle. Since we ran out of diapers going there… don’t ask me how that happened I packed like 20, we decided to pack even more coming home, we didn’t come close to running out! I made sure to pack extra formula and bottles since we were traveling for a total of like 24 hours and also packed three extra outfits, which we needed!! With help from Nancy, Morgan and Todd we made it home with very little fussing. He was a great little traveler.

Jan. 1st- Today Todd and I decided to take a walk and ended up on a nice trail by the ocean! It was gorgeous. We also discovered a better way to keep Wyatt by the pool… a pack n’ play in the cabana. He loves it, just lay him in there with his toys and he plays and plays until nap time, then give him his little pig and blanket and he goes to sleep. It was very nice today. Jan. 2nd- We took another walk today; same little trail and ended up having breakfast at another hotel right near the ocean. Then after a great day by the pool we had dinner at the Plantation Course, (where the SBS championship will be held) and then took Wyatt’s four-month pictures. He was a hit in the lobby! Jan. 3rd- shopping Jan. 4th- Pearl Harbor- This morning we woke up extra early, boarded a plane and headed to Pearl Harbor for the day. Wyatt stayed at the hotel with Nancy and Morgan and we enjoyed a tour of the USS Arizona, the Bowfin, and the aviation museum. Being a history major and just someone who loves hi

Trip to Hawaii As I write this it’s 25 degrees in Evans, Georgia and currently 71 here at our hotel in Kanapali (as I am posting it though, due to my lack in computer time the past couple of days, I am now feeling the 50 degree weather and wishing I were in Kanapali!). Do I want to go home in two days, home to frost on the windows and a chance of icy roads? Am I ready to trade in my flip-flops and one-piece (yep it will be a one-piece for a while, thanks to Wyatt and a lovely c-section that left my belly looking a little funny!) for uggs and comfy hooded fleece? The answer, if you don’t know by now is NO!!! A big fat NO!! I love waking up at 7 but not having to pull myself out of bed until 8 (thanks to Todd who has been taking Wyatt in the morning), I am going to miss sleeping through the night and not worrying about if Wyatt will wake up (thanks to Nancy and Morgan who were kind enough to put the crib in there room and got up with him-thanks to the time change he hasn’t been sleeping
