Her gift from Mimi and Papa Playing on her mat (her hangout spot!) She LOVES holding her cup Enjoying some sweet taters I've had this post written for days, and in my mind I have posted it a hundred times but yet here we are! She is 5 and a half months old and I am just now getting this out there! I am in love with this age! *SLEEP: After her bedtime bottle she will go down (normally) very easy. On most nights you can lay her in the crib with her blankie and she will put herself to sleep. She will sleep from 7-7, sometimes a little later and sometimes a littler earlier. When she does wake in the morning she will talk happily and on occasion will go back to sleep. Naps can be another story. She needs 3, sometimes 4! All depends on the day and what we are doing. Some days it’s a bunch of catnaps and other days she will take 2 very long naps and one evening catnap. If I lay her in the crib before she is to tired, she will put herself to sleep. We are working hard at this! if we are ou

Disney Part 2

You live…You learn…and then you stay at a closer hotel! We loved staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge! It was beyond beautiful and Wyatt loved the fact that animals could be seen from our balcony! The pool and slide were also great and Wyatt had a blast. The lodge is great IF your going to spend most of your time at Animal Kingdom, which was a short 5 minute bus ride from the Lodge to the park. If you are going to spend most of your time at Magic Kingdom, then this is not the best place to stay. Unlike the other hotels that offer, a boat, monorail and bus to get you to the parks, the Animal Lodge only offers a bus. A bus that runs every 20 minutes. This bus almost always had a line of people waiting and so there was about a 75% chance that you were going to have to stand up, while holding a toddler, and stroller for your 15 minute ride! Not fun! The other down side was that when you load up on the bus, you also have to unload your stroller (you know all the crap that collects in the bin

Disney Part 1

We had an amazing time at Disney! I think that the perfect age is between 2-4. Wyatt was amazed and there were several times I was brought to tears by just watching him experience all of these new magical things. Tuesday: Todd woke up and flew McKinley to Nancy’s house while we stayed behind and got Wyatt’s haircut and last minute things loaded up. By 12 we were on the road and Wyatt was throwing a fit before we even left Augusta! We quickly learned that Wyatt was happy for about two hours in the car and then we had to let him out to stretch his legs. We broke the trip up like this and finally at 9 we mad it to our hotel in Orlando. Of course he managed to stay up the ENTIRE ride and only fell asleep 20 minutes before reaching the hotel. One thing I love about this kid is that he is easily transferred. We got his bed ready and Todd carried him in, changed him and laid him down without him waking up. He even managed to sleep in until 7:30 the next morning. Wednesday: We got a quick bit

Wyatt was so entertained in my bathroom this morning, he didn't want to eat until 9! Keep in mind he woke up at 6:50! I wonder if this is what he is learning in school, how to make a line? - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

2 Years Old

Wyatt is officially TWO! I can't believe it! I feel like we have been in the mist of the terrible twos for some time now but some days are better than others! Here's what little man has been up to..... *SLEEP: We went through about a week of him waking up at 4 and then not really ever going back to sleep. It was like having a newborn! I would go in, change him, rock him, lay him down. He would rest for about 30 minutes then we would repeat! Our doctor suggested a change in his routine and that has worked like magic... 7:15- read two books in rocking chair bath and pjs one book in rocking chair prayers down in crib wide awake So far so good. He is still waking up anywhere form 6-7 but he will normally hang out in his crib for 20 minutes or so. This gives me enough time to get up and get half way decent before getting him. Naps are still great! If he doesn't have school he goes down around 12 and sleep
