Are you kidding

I'm sorry but this is just funny! I just read an article about a mom who just won a lawsuit against the people that make Nutella. She didn't realize it wasn't a healthy choice for her four year old daughter! Is this a joke? Can I sue the company that makes snickers because they aren't healthy for me! She is getting $3 million dollars because she didn't READ THE LABELS on a product! What judge awarded this woman $3 million!? Now let me just say that the commercial is a little misleading, it does make it look healthy but come on! Coke makes their products look good too and we all know that isn't good for ya! Give me a break!

I honestly can't believe it's been a year since our sweet little girl was born. It really did fly by this time! She is up to A LOT and has developed her own little personality and her own little attitude! SLEEP: She is a good sleeper, I won't say great because for about 2 weeks she went through a phase of waking up at 5 wanting to eat! I gave in and then she finally settled back into her old routine, most days look like this.... 7:00am: wake up 9:00ish: lay down for nap- sleeps about an hour 1:30/2:00: lay down for nap- sleeps about an 1.5-2 hours 7:15pm: lay down for bed She still depends on a bottle before naps and bed, but doesn't have to be rocked, she normally goes to sleep on her own, which I love! She still loves her pink bunny blanket to sleep with. CHOW TIME: We have a picky little girl on our hands and I do mean picky. She has a few favorites... bread/pancakes/waffles/sweets (loves ice cream!!)/blueberries/yogurt/raspberries/strawberries/avocado/

More Magazine/Fitness Magazine- Half Marathon NYC

My very first half marathon! DONE! Let me just say that 13 miles is long and 13.1 miles is even LONGER!!! Yes, it's the .1 that will get ya. I can't say that this race was hard, it wasn't easy but I honestly didn't feel like I was going to die and the thought of giving up didn't enter my mind like it did on the long run we did at home. I kept pushing and when I finally crossed that finish line, I cried! Saturday night we headed in early, ordered Carmins pasta and rested for the big day. All day Saturday I pushed water, I just drank and drank any water I could get my hands on. I also did indulge in some breads and other yummy carbs! I laid out my race day outfit, pinned my bib on my shirt, put the timer thing on my shoe, made sure my watch was out and my ipod was charged. I was in bed early and actually able to sleep. I woke up at 6m a little nervous but jumped in the shower to wake myself up, got dressed, made myself a PB&J sandwich and drank my energy drink. On

Training Day #37

The very last training day before my very first half!!! Tuesday, April 10th, it was torture!! I felt like I wasn't going to make it and I was going to be in big trouble! Somehow I did though! I even ran out the last .5 mile! DISTANCE: 1.98 (the signs said I went 2 miles but watch didn't say that!) TIME: 28 minutes and 40 seconds

One year ago

Last year I wrote a post about the many emotions that I was feeling. I was happy/sad/nervous/scared/worried/etc. I honestly didn't know how I could love someone as much as I loved my sweet Wyatt. Let me just say the moment I laid eyes on her I fell madly in love all over again. It's truly amazing how each child is different and how you come to love them in different ways. She has a personality all her own and it is really starting to come out. I can't believe that tomorrow my sweet M will be ONE! Where did this past year go?

Thank you facebook

I love facebook for many reasons, but today I'm loving it because I can look back and remember exactly what I was doing a year ago today. A year ago today, I was going to get pre-op work done because I had forgotten all about it, I was packing last minute things to take Wyatt to stay with Nana, I enjoyed Miyabis, dropped off a paper to my wonderful friend Kristie, and I cried like a baby when I had to say goodbye to Wyatt for the night. I am looking at McKinley at this very minute and I am sad that she is getting bigger and tomorrow will no longer be a little baby. I think it's harder this time because we are 90% sure that she is our last. There will be no more firsts to experience in the first year of a child's life and that is bitter sweet. I love looking back and having those sweet memories. Tomorrow might be hard day too!

Oh my

Training Day #34/#35/#36

I never would have taken workout gear on vacation but I have come to look forward to working out and have really made it part of my weekly routine. So running shoes and workout clothes were first on the packing list. Not only did I get out and run twice but on my off days I did a 6 mile bike ride and a 5 mile bike ride. It felt good to get out and get moving! Tuesday was a run day! When we go to visit Nancy, we love to go out to eat in the morning. Todd and I love to take the kids to East beach and get yummy chocolate chip pancakes and cheese grits. In order to eat this good food, I decided to run 2 miles and they would pick me up on the way to breakfast. I set out and felt great. I didn't want to stop. Instead of doing my usual 3/1's I just ran with a quick 30 second stop to take a pic of an alligator. It felt great!!!! DISTANCE: 2.02 miles TIME: 25 minutes and 32 seconds Average heart rate: 168 Calories burned 232 Average pace 12.39 Thursday was a run day! I didn't do as

A complete 360

Wyatt has been wonderful this week! Y'all he is a completely different child!!! Not. Kidding. He is saying thank you, your welcome, yes mam, no mam, yes sir, no sir and on and on. He is less moody and even hitting less. I say less because he is still a 2 year old and he is still hitting, testing limits, etc. He still ends up in timeout at some point during the day but isn't spending his entire day there. He is really a new man. His vocabulary has also expanded! *What's your name *That would be cool *Oh, no! Not again! (The baby kept dropping her spoon and he would say, "It's okay, I get it." Then she did it again!) *Wait a minute guys. *No do that daddy, don't say no to me. He busts out with the funniest things! He is really cracking us up. He is also swimming like a champ. He can hold his breathe for the longest time and has no fear! He just goes in and swims to the nearest person. He is also jumping off the side of the pool. Maybe this is why he is sleep
