One day down....

I have decided that I am going to continue to not give him his pacifier during the day unless it's nap or bedtime. We will take care of those at a later date. So yesterday was our first day! For part of the day he was with Valery and she said he seemed to do fine without it. After nap I let him keep it while we were in his room reading a book and after we finished I said, "Let's put the passy and lambie in the crib." He walked over and reached as high as he could and I helped him put both in the crib and say goodbye. We had a snack and then headed out to return something at BuyBuy Baby and then go to target before dinner at Carrabas to celebrate Uncle Douglas's birthday. There were moments at both stores when MOMMY wanted to use the pacifier! Then as the night went on, there were times when WYATT wanted it! He was never to bad, I could just tell that he wanted something. When he saw his lambie and passy for bedtime he was so excited he could hardly stand it!

This morning, the little monkey had all three crib passys thrown behind the crib and he was showing me and trying to tell me! After getting dressed I said, "Let's give lambie a kiss bye." He puckered his little lips and kissed lambie and put it down. So we shall see how the day goes!!!

We all need friends

I remember almost a year ago when a good friend of mine invited me to a lunch group, Friday's at noon. At that time in my life I needed it! I needed to get out and meet new friends, other ladies with children about the same age, going through the same thing. This was a life saver for me. I am not a very outgoing person and it's hard to make friends when you don't have a full time job. Long story made short.... I made some GREAT friends in that group. As all good things to do though, things changed, people moved on and life became a little crazy for all of us. So the lunch group is starting up again and even though some people have left, we have some new faces to get to know! Wednesday a couple of us went out for a ladies night out and it was great! Two new people for me to get to know and I feel like I have made two new life long friends. First trip to the ER

Yesterday was a day of firsts! First time to try to potty training and first trip to the ER. Here is how we ended up there..... He woke up feeling good and we had a nice start to potty training! He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but some days he does and others he doesn't so I didn't think much about it. When lunch time rolled around he still didn't eat. He then became very cranky and uninterested in the potty thing so I let my dad take him up for his nap. He normally goes down pretty easy but today he didn't. He said that his tummy hurt and couldn't get comfortable. He finally fell asleep but didn't stay asleep long. He moved all around and cried out a couple times then finally woke up. He was NOT himself. He cried and wanted to be held. Then all of a sudden he would be fine. Then minutes later he would say his tummy hurt, then drop to his knees and cry and move around trying to get comfortable. It was so sad. My parents wanted him to spend the night si
