Training Day #18
8 MILES!!!!!!!! Yes we did 8 miles...on a treadmill! At first the thought of doing it on a treadmill killed me! For some reason I tend to be slower on a treadmill and I didn't know if I could just stay in the same place for what I thought would be like 3 hours! On the other hand, I hate running in the cold and when you add the rain, well that just wasn't gonna happen!
When we did 6 miles two weeks ago, I honestly thought I was going to die! It was hard and new pains started to pop up, my toe, my foot, my abs! This time it was smooth sailing! I'm being honest! I don't want to say it was easy because it's not walk in the park but I got a good groove and 3 minutes didn't seem like an eternity. The last mile was the hardest. My foot started to hurt again but I pushed through and ran the last .7 without stopping. I was feeling like crap before the run. We waited until 3 and I had slight headache and just wanted to take a nap but I did it and after I did, I felt great and was so glad that I did. I am really enjoying this!
DISTANCE: 8 miles
TIME: 2 hours and 20 minutes- (Like I said, a little slower on a treadmill).
I could not do this without my mom, my aunt and my good friend Liz. We push each other and its nice to have someone beside you!
**on a side note- I am starting the week at about the same weight as Friday- which is good because I always cheat alittle on the weekends!!!! I am so happy about this and think it's going to be a great week!***
