One day I wanna be like Mimi





Because…
Even though she LOVES to sleep, she will gladly wake up when a little person calls her name to join them on a golf cart ride
She will make eggs, then pancakes, cut a banana, and when he says no to all that, she will make a trip to McDonalds.
A cookie can be turned into a snack
She can pull together one FABULOUS party
She gives and gives and gives of her time!
She will give up the comfort of her own home to stay and help us!
She folds clothes, unloads the dishwasher, cleans up after dinner and organizes the toys!
She is full of decorating ideas
She’s not afraid to eat lunch with a sticker on her head
She lets her favorite little person destroy her living room.
She makes sure she is in town to see her grandsons last 60 minute swim lesson
She doesn’t mind her house being taken over by a two year old and 3 month old.
She will make frog-eyed salad, even though everyone else requested strawberry cake
She lets little people be as messy as they can be
She makes toast in the shape of witch hats and school sandwiches in the shape of hearts
Her grandkids make her light up
She will stop what she is doing or change her plans to be with her grandbabies and help her kids

I love my mom! I can only hope that one day I will be half the Mimi she is!

We all need friends

I remember almost a year ago when a good friend of mine invited me to a lunch group, Friday's at noon. At that time in my life I needed it! I needed to get out and meet new friends, other ladies with children about the same age, going through the same thing. This was a life saver for me. I am not a very outgoing person and it's hard to make friends when you don't have a full time job. Long story made short.... I made some GREAT friends in that group. As all good things to do though, things changed, people moved on and life became a little crazy for all of us. So the lunch group is starting up again and even though some people have left, we have some new faces to get to know! Wednesday a couple of us went out for a ladies night out and it was great! Two new people for me to get to know and I feel like I have made two new life long friends. First trip to the ER

Yesterday was a day of firsts! First time to try to potty training and first trip to the ER. Here is how we ended up there..... He woke up feeling good and we had a nice start to potty training! He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but some days he does and others he doesn't so I didn't think much about it. When lunch time rolled around he still didn't eat. He then became very cranky and uninterested in the potty thing so I let my dad take him up for his nap. He normally goes down pretty easy but today he didn't. He said that his tummy hurt and couldn't get comfortable. He finally fell asleep but didn't stay asleep long. He moved all around and cried out a couple times then finally woke up. He was NOT himself. He cried and wanted to be held. Then all of a sudden he would be fine.
