Fridays at Noon, ladies night out and play dates

In February I was lucky enough to be invited to a Friday Lunch group. (Faris I am forever grateful to you!) I have gotten to know several of these ladies and I am lucky enough to now call them my friends. Not only did I look forward to Friday at Noon but I begin to look forward to ladies night out and play dates with these ladies and their children. Well I MISS IT! If I haven’t been out of town, I’ve been sick or running errands for a certain little mans First Birthday party! With summer coming to an end we have all taken off to enjoy the last days of summer fun at the beach or other family vacations. Some have even taken the next step in their lives and have moved!:( Now I am about to take off and I miss everyone!!! Adult conversation, play dates that wear out my little one, shared stories of the adventures in motherhood and life in general. I am looking forward to my family vacation, a chance to relax but I am also looking forward to reestablishing Fridays at noon, play date Wednesday and ladies night out!!!

We all need friends

I remember almost a year ago when a good friend of mine invited me to a lunch group, Friday's at noon. At that time in my life I needed it! I needed to get out and meet new friends, other ladies with children about the same age, going through the same thing. This was a life saver for me. I am not a very outgoing person and it's hard to make friends when you don't have a full time job. Long story made short.... I made some GREAT friends in that group. As all good things to do though, things changed, people moved on and life became a little crazy for all of us. So the lunch group is starting up again and even though some people have left, we have some new faces to get to know! Wednesday a couple of us went out for a ladies night out and it was great! First trip to the ER

Yesterday was a day of firsts! First time to try to potty training and first trip to the ER. Here is how we ended up there..... He woke up feeling good and we had a nice start to potty training! He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but some days he does and others he doesn't so I didn't think much about it. When lunch time rolled around he still didn't eat. He then became very cranky and uninterested in the potty thing so I let my dad take him up for his nap. He normally goes down pretty easy but today he didn't. He said that his tummy hurt and couldn't get comfortable. He finally fell asleep but didn't stay asleep long. He moved all around and cried out a couple times then finally woke up. He was NOT himself. He cried and wanted to be held. Then all of a sudden he would be fine.
