Minus One




I love my son! I think that if you ask any mom, she would say the same thing! I also think that if you offer any mom a couple hours minus the little one they would say without much hesitation, YES! I have left Wyatt before, for a couple of hours, for an overnight and for a week. I have only ever left him with family though, my parents, Todd's mom, and my aunt and uncle. Today I left him with a family friend. Someone who has only been around him about 3 times but I have known her a long time. She is wonderful with children and a very sweet loving person! Today I accomplished some great things, minus one! A training session with my trainer (got much more done in an hour without the little one crawling around and having to stop for a diaper change), picked up a lamp for my mother in law, went to the baby store, had a conference call, went grocery shopping and mailed the stuff I sold on ebay! What I loved the most was coming home to a VERY happy baby! It felt good knowing he was in great hands. Thanks so much Valery! We greatly appreciate it!!!!!! Oh and he got to meet her dog, which is BIG and very CUTE!

We all need friends

I remember almost a year ago when a good friend of mine invited me to a lunch group, Friday's at noon. At that time in my life I needed it! I needed to get out and meet new friends, other ladies with children about the same age, going through the same thing. This was a life saver for me. I am not a very outgoing person and it's hard to make friends when you don't have a full time job. Long story made short.... I made some GREAT friends in that group. As all good things to do though, things changed, people moved on and life became a little crazy for all of us. So the lunch group is starting up again and even though some people have left, we have some new faces to get to know! Wednesday a couple of us went out for a ladies night out and it was great! Two new people for me to get to know and I feel like I have made two new life long friends. First trip to the ER

Yesterday was a day of firsts! First time to try to potty training and first trip to the ER. Here is how we ended up there..... He woke up feeling good and we had a nice start to potty training! He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but some days he does and others he doesn't so I didn't think much about it. When lunch time rolled around he still didn't eat. He then became very cranky and uninterested in the potty thing so I let my dad take him up for his nap. He normally goes down pretty easy but today he didn't. He said that his tummy hurt and couldn't get comfortable. He finally fell asleep but didn't stay asleep long. He moved all around and cried out a couple times then finally woke up. He was NOT himself. He cried and wanted to be held. Then all of a sudden he would be fine.
