37 week update

I love our doctor! I do but when your appointment is at 3:40 and you don't leave his office until 6.... come on! I really don't mind waiting in the waiting room. With my clothes on, a magazine to read or my phone to play with. What I don't like is waiting in the room with no clothes on and only a little sheet, not even that, a little piece of paper covering me up for a good 40 minutes. Then a quick check and another wait, I guess I should be thankful it was with clothes on, for 30 minutes until we go back to talk to him. Huge fan of the doctor and the waiting room however not a huge fan on the little piece of paper and waiting in the room.

All of that being said, the visit reminded me exactly of the one we had a 36 weeks except for this time I knew what was going to happen and it didn't seem to take as long. The news however was the same, cervix soft but closed. Sorry if that's to much information I guess I'm just used to sharing all of this with so many people it doesn't really phase me anymore or Todd for that matter. The one great thing about this appointment is that the end is NEAR!! I have loved being pregnant but the I'm so happy that the finish line is in clear view. If he doesn't come before, we are going to the hospital on Tuesday the 25th at 6 am. If by Monday the 24th I haven't progressed I will be checking in that night but I'm hopeful that it will be Tuesday, actually I am hopeful that he will decide to come before that and give us the big surprise that we have been waiting for. So since Wednesday I have been walking, taking evening primrose oil at night and enjoying red raspberry leaf tea. I'll let you know if any of this actually works.

We all need friends

I remember almost a year ago when a good friend of mine invited me to a lunch group, Friday's at noon. At that time in my life I needed it! I needed to get out and meet new friends, other ladies with children about the same age, going through the same thing. This was a life saver for me. I am not a very outgoing person and it's hard to make friends when you don't have a full time job. Long story made short.... I made some GREAT friends in that group. As all good things to do though, things changed, people moved on and life became a little crazy for all of us. So the lunch group is starting up again and even though some people have left, we have some new faces to get to know! Wednesday a couple of us went out for a ladies night out and it was great! Two new people for me to get to know and I feel like I have made two new life long friends. First trip to the ER

Yesterday was a day of firsts! First time to try to potty training and first trip to the ER. Here is how we ended up there..... He woke up feeling good and we had a nice start to potty training! He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but some days he does and others he doesn't so I didn't think much about it. When lunch time rolled around he still didn't eat. He then became very cranky and uninterested in the potty thing so I let my dad take him up for his nap. He normally goes down pretty easy but today he didn't. He said that his tummy hurt and couldn't get comfortable. He finally fell asleep but didn't stay asleep long. He moved all around and cried out a couple times then finally woke up. He was NOT himself. He cried and wanted to be held. Then all of a sudden he would be fine.
