Orbera Weight Loss Procedure

I have gone back and forth on posting this and finally after much debate I have decide that I wanted to share in hopes that it might be able to help someone else. Today at 2:30pm I am scheduled to have the Orbera Procedure. I will not go through all the details of the procedure right now, but for more information on it you can visit, orbera.com.

I have prayed about this, talked to my husband, parents and close friends about this and they are supporting me with this decision that I have made. I know that not everyone will, which I why I have gone back and forth on putting this information out there but I know at the end of the day, I also don't want to feel dishonest. I also know that I would like prayers right now. The first part of this is supposed to the hardest part.

I know that some will say, "Can't you just do it on your own?" Please know, this is simply a tool, which I will explain in another blog, that will help me to reach my goal. I still have to eat right and work out. Everyone has an opinion on the best way to lose weight. I have struggled with this for a long time and as nervous as I am right now, I am so happy to be taking this step.

We all need friends

I remember almost a year ago when a good friend of mine invited me to a lunch group, Friday's at noon. At that time in my life I needed it! I needed to get out and meet new friends, other ladies with children about the same age, going through the same thing. This was a life saver for me. I am not a very outgoing person and it's hard to make friends when you don't have a full time job. Long story made short.... I made some GREAT friends in that group. As all good things to do though, things changed, people moved on and life became a little crazy for all of us. So the lunch group is starting up again and even though some people have left, we have some new faces to get to know! Wednesday a couple of us went out for a ladies night out and it was great! First trip to the ER

Yesterday was a day of firsts! First time to try to potty training and first trip to the ER. Here is how we ended up there..... He woke up feeling good and we had a nice start to potty training! He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but some days he does and others he doesn't so I didn't think much about it. When lunch time rolled around he still didn't eat. He then became very cranky and uninterested in the potty thing so I let my dad take him up for his nap. He normally goes down pretty easy but today he didn't. He said that his tummy hurt and couldn't get comfortable. He finally fell asleep but didn't stay asleep long. He moved all around and cried out a couple times then finally woke up. He was NOT himself. He cried and wanted to be held. Then all of a sudden he would be fine.
