Merry Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year. I truly believe that! I also believe that when you have children it adds a whole new dimension to it. It was so much fun seeing his face this morning when he walked in the living room and saw what Santa had left him. He walked in and said, "WOW" then ran right over to his new kitchen and looked so excited to start playing with it. It has been so much fun watching him open his gifts from family and friends and seeing how much he loves seeing what is in each box. He was so sweet tearing off the paper and saying, "Wow" each time he noticed something he really liked. I think this was a CUTE age for Christmas but I think next year is going to be really fun!

Today was a great day. I feel truly blessed that we were able to be surrounded by our family and friends. I have spend today really thinking about how blessed we are to have such special people in our lives. We would not have made it through this last year, had it not been for our family and close friends love and support.

Happy Birthday Jesus! He is the reason for the season. The true meaning of Christmas.

We all need friends

I remember almost a year ago when a good friend of mine invited me to a lunch group, Friday's at noon. At that time in my life I needed it! I needed to get out and meet new friends, other ladies with children about the same age, going through the same thing. This was a life saver for me. I am not a very outgoing person and it's hard to make friends when you don't have a full time job. Long story made short.... I made some GREAT friends in that group. As all good things to do though, things changed, people moved on and life became a little crazy for all of us. So the lunch group is starting up again and even though some people have left, we have some new faces to get to know! Wednesday a couple of us went out for a ladies night out and it was great! Two new people for me to get to know and I feel like I have made two new life long friends. First trip to the ER

Yesterday was a day of firsts! First time to try to potty training and first trip to the ER. Here is how we ended up there..... He woke up feeling good and we had a nice start to potty training! He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but some days he does and others he doesn't so I didn't think much about it. When lunch time rolled around he still didn't eat. He then became very cranky and uninterested in the potty thing so I let my dad take him up for his nap. He normally goes down pretty easy but today he didn't. He said that his tummy hurt and couldn't get comfortable. He finally fell asleep but didn't stay asleep long. He moved all around and cried out a couple times then finally woke up. He was NOT himself. He cried and wanted to be held. Then all of a sudden he would be fine. Then minutes later he would say his tummy hurt, then drop to his knees and cry and move around trying to get comfortable. It was so sad. My parents wanted him to spend the night si...
