Hawaii Blog 2
Jan. 1st- Today Todd and I decided to take a walk and ended up on a nice trail by the ocean! It was gorgeous. We also discovered a better way to keep Wyatt by the pool… a pack n’ play in the cabana. He loves it, just lay him in there with his toys and he plays and plays until nap time, then give him his little pig and blanket and he goes to sleep. It was very nice today.
Jan. 2nd- We took another walk today; same little trail and ended up having breakfast at another hotel right near the ocean. Then after a great day by the pool we had dinner at the Plantation Course, (where the SBS championship will be held) and then took Wyatt’s four-month pictures. He was a hit in the lobby!
Jan. 3rd- shopping
Jan. 4th- Pearl Harbor- This morning we woke up extra early, boarded a plane and headed to Pearl Harbor for the day. Wyatt stayed at the hotel with Nancy and Morgan and we enjoyed a tour of the USS Arizona, the Bowfin, and the aviation museum. Being a history major and just someone who loves history and learning everything I possibly can about the past I loved this trip! It was amazing to see this place and also very sad.
Jan. 5th- My wonderful husband was nice enough to take Wyatt for the morning while I spent the morning at the spa. A manicure, coffee body scrub and a relaxing massage. I just love the spa. This was a great early birthday present.
Okay I know that I am boring you with my day to day, I had to hit the highlights of the trip though and there is just one more thing I have to tell you about, Whale Watching!
If you go to Hawaii during Whale Season it is a must to go on a whale-watching trip. Todd and I went on a sunset Catamaran to watch the whales. The highlight of the trip was seeing two whales swim right under the boat and come up right beside the boat. We also got to hear what they sound like under water and see a baby whale (calf) playing. One of the best parts of our trip!
