Our first day in Hawaii

I feel very blessed that my child was able to sleep from 12 am to 7 am considering the time change that we went through. Sure, he didn't make it all night without needing any help, but no diaper change or feeding needed and he always went right back to sleep, I think thats doing pretty darn good. I have to thank God for that. When I found out that we were going on this trip, I began to pray every night that Wyatt would have a smooth transition to the new time. Looks like my prayers were answered. I think we still have a day or two to go but he is doing great.

So today started at 7 am and is about to end when I get done typing this lovely post. Wyatt is already sound asleep in the crib stationed right in front of our dresser, the sound of waves crashing is starting to also put me to sleep. He has been asleep for the past twenty minutes and because I don't want to run the risk of waking him up by turning on the tv, I decided to hold off on watching my one of my Christmas presents.... Casablanca! Instead of stepping back into time, I am blogging. Something I suddenly have time for now that Wyatt is asleep in the same room, Todd is walking the halls of the hotel because he isn't tired, Nancy and Morgan have gone to bed and well there is nothing else to do. I love it! It is so relaxing and nice, when he naps, I can just do nothing!! No unloading the dish washer, no folding clothes, no entertaining the dogs, no cleaning, no cooking, no nothing! Okay so there is that paper I am supposed to be working on... but that can wait. It was so nice to just relax, update my blog, put up some pictures. I don't think I am ever coming home!

Okay, sorry back to our day! After getting up and ready we headed down to eat some breakfast then made our way to the pool where Nancy and Morgan were kind enough to rent us a cabana which is great! Wyatt and I could stay out of the sun as much as we wanted. After the battle of the morning nap, we put Wyatt in the pool for the very first time, he loved it. Well he may not have loved it but he didn't hate it. Then we ate some lunch by the ocean, walked back and then it was inside for a nice long three hour nap, then a great dinner, followed by a bath for Wyatt, a bottle, a diaper and bed. It was a great day.
